This is the first guitar I built while I was at Roberto Venn. This is the Lineage Mystic. The design is informed by my time spent with my favorite Luthier, Scott Walker, and the guitars built for Jerry Garcia by Doug Irwin. This is a guitar I want to make a lot more of. There are a lot of folks that make copies of Garcia's guitars and I love those, but that's not what I wanna do. I want to build guitars that get into that territory while having their own vibe. It's got the Garcia electronics package but with a couple tweaks to align with my taste and playing style. Some folks get intimidated by all the switches. I assure you, it's much more intuitive than it looks. Even with all of these switching options, you could think of it exactly like a 2 pickup Les Paul with a three way switch. If you wanna get nerdy (it's fun) you've got plenty of options available to you. When the books are open, if you'd like me to build you one of these guitars, the shape is set but you can choose the wood, electronics package, bridge, and pretty much customize it to your exact taste. Keep in mind, this is the very first one so I will continually find ways to improve it and make it more elegant while keeping the spirit of what it is.

Kai's guitar

This guitar belongs to my dear friend, Kai. He's believed in me since before I did. His encouragement is invaluable and I hope that everyone gets to have a friend like Kai at some point in their life. I've had the privilege of having my hands on this guitar many times. We've done pickup swaps, setups, wiring and soon it will be getting a new nut. This guitar keeps getting better with everything we do and I appreciate the trust he's offered me every time I work on it. It's one of those guitars that has a lot of sentimentality wrapped up in it but he's also taken extremely good care of it, has chosen thoughtful upgrades, and because of that this guitar can hang with the best of them.
